5+ day Climbing & Acclimatization

This program combines a trek through the central Andes of Ecuador (Ruco Pichincha, Corazón, Iliniza Norte) and the Altar Valley finalizing with the mighty Chimborazo climb.

Difficulty:

This program starts with light acclimatization, then more difficult mountains until the first highlight: Cotopaxi ending with another highlight, Chimborazo. Cotopaxi (5.897 m  is the second highest mountain in Ecuador and of the most climbed. Chimborazo (6,268 m — 20,564 ft.) is the goal of many climbers who come to Ecuador. It is the highest mountain in the country and if measured from the center of the earth it’s the highest mountain in the world! The ascent of Chimborazo is not to be underestimated because a good acclimatization such as this program is required and is certainly the highlight of this trip.

Difficulty:

This program is designed for very experienced mountain climbers. We reach four summits: Iliniza North and South, Antisana and Chimborazo.

This program is a compact circuit of the two most climbed and highest mountains of Ecuador. We first climb the North Illiniza and , Cayambe. We then culminate with the summit of Chimborazo.

This program starts with a good acclimatization program through the beautiful Northern Andes of Ecuador, then climbing Cotopaxi, visiting Natural Parks, thermal springs, lagoons, cultural sites and ending with the Chimborazo. The Chimborazo 6,268 m (20,564 ft.) is the goal of the majority ofexperienced climbers who come to Ecuador. It is the highest mountain in the country and if measured from the center of the Earth its the highest mountain in the world!
