Aconcagua is a mountain located in the province of Mendoza, in the west of Argentina. It integrates the Main Mountain Range, which is a component of the Andes Mountain Range. With an altitude of 6962 m. it is the most eminent peak of the southern and western hemispheres, the highest of the Earth after the system of the Himalayas (Asia) and, therefore, the highest peak in America. It is one of the mountains that is part of the 7 highest summits of each continent.

Itinerary 15 days / 14 nights
Day 1: Travel to Mendoza
Full group meeting 11am MENDOZA, DIPLOMATIC HOTEL (5 stars). Each member is responsible for travel- ing to MENDOZA on their own and arriving no later than today in the morning in order to meet the group at the indicated time. If you wish to arrive 1 or 2 days before there is no problem, we will give you a special rate if you wish to stay in the same hotel as additional nights.
11 AM – 12 PM MEETING & WELCOMING GROUP

Day 2: Penitentes 2580 m
11am we will leave for Cerro de la Gloria in San Martin Park and continue to Uspallata (2hrs drive) where we will have lunch. We will continue to the last civilization before entering the Aconcagua National Park called Los Penitentes. We will spend the night at the Ayelén Hotel where you can already breathe the mountain air with pure mountaineer’s lodging. The food is exquisite. Here we will leave all the bags prepared for the mules to carry the next morning.
Day 3: Trekking day 1 – Pampa de Leñas 2960 m – 14km – 5hrs
Today begins our adventure, the bus will leave us just 5min from the hotel in Punta de Vacas where they will seal our entry permit and we will enter on foot for 5hrs until our first camp, called Pampa de Leñas. There, we will have a dome as a kitchen tent and the muleteers will leave our bags on the ground so that we can set up our camp.
Day 4: Trekking day 2 – Casa de Piedra 3250mtrs – 16 km – 6hrs
In distance today is the longest day of the approach climb so we will leave early. The stage is very pictur- esque full of vegetation and contrasts. Today we will see from afar for the first time the Stone Sentinel, the Aconcagua 6962msnm. In Casa de Piedra a dome awaits us in the same way with a lot of comfort.
Day 5: Trekking Day 3 – Plaza Argentina Base Camp 4200mtrs – 13 km – 6hrs
We will wake up shortly before dawn, have breakfast and cross the river to enter the ravine which is winding, sandy and steep at the beginning. Once we reach the ridge, an endless valley opens up with the beautiful colossus in front of us. The wind can often be felt and so can the height. We will walk until we reach the wall of the colossus where there is a giant base camp hidden among the stones at 4200masl called Plaza Argen- tina. Luxury service, feather domes like in the Himalayas, hot showers, luxury food and impeccable service await us.
Day 6: Free day – Rest day Plaza Argentina 4200 m
Today will be a day to communicate with their families, there is wifi, take advantage of the delicious food, take a shower, write or read, just rest!
Day 7: Camp 1 – High Camp 5050 m
The ascent begins, this time we don’t have mules anymore, we will go with the help of porters to camp 1. In camp 1 the armed tents are waiting for us and the kitchen tent is ready to receive us.
Day 8: Camp 2 – Guanacos 3 – High Camp 5500 m
We will ascend to the second altitude camp called Guanacos, here we will see for the first time the beautiful mountain range of the great Mercedario among other beautiful mountains that we have in sight.
Day 9: Rest / Recovery day at 5500m
Day to sleep, eat and read a book
Day 10: Colera – 6000 m / Polacos Route 5900 m
We’ll go up to the last high camp called Cholera or Camp 3. Here you can feel the height and the physi- cal tiredness, we will try to rest and eat little. In the evening to tomorrow we will go out to the summit. The advanced group that has chosen the option of climbing through Poles, will move to Camp 2 POLES to spend the night there until the next day.
Day 11: ACONCAGUA SUMMIT 6962
We will have all day to climb to the top, a very hard day, a wonderful day, a memory that for many will last the rest of their lives. We will return to Colera 6000m. The Polish group will attack the summit in the same way, joining the normal group at the summit.
Day 12: Colera – Plaza de Mulas Base Camp 4300mtrs
We will descend once we have had breakfast and completely dismantled the camp. We will walk all the way down from 6000- 4300 to the largest base camp in the world outside the Himalayas! Here we will have food, showers, wi-fi…
Day 13: Plaza de Mulas – Horcones – Mendoza
A long day, so we’ll get an early start. It is 23km to the end until we leave the Aconcagua National Park. A trek that becomes eternal with fatigue, but it is a good time to thank the mountain for the experience. We will try to be solvent today to get to the bus at about 4pm, take the bus, visit Puente del Inca, pick up the bags left by the mules and return 3 hours to Mendoza. We will surely arrive at the hotel at 10-11 pm.
